Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that can make certain Pokemon evolve. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize during Pokemon GO events.

The Upgrade can also be placed in weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests, based on the type of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, armors, weapons and other tools for gathering in order to add attributes or other bonuses while the equipment being used. Upgrade components are only available on equipment that has an upgrade slot available. Most upgrade components also require that the item to be upgraded is above a certain level. Some upgrade components have special effects that are visible when they are used. Upgrade components can be obtained by crafting, purchased from karma sellers, traded with other players on the Trading Post, salvaged from equipment, or acquired as rewards in game.
Various upgrade components are available, each providing various bonuses. Universal upgrades, which include gems and inscriptions can be used in any type of equipment. They also offer lower bonuses than other kinds of upgrade components. Infusions are able to be used on non-amulet and legendary ascended items, while enhancements are able to be used on ascended back equipment. Injecting an upgrade component will cause the destruction of the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, which can only be inserted in gathering tools, and enchantments. item upgrades are able to be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias, enchantments, and upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item, while they are added to the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia could change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrades that are added to an item will be visible in the tooltip of the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to add functional and decorative elements to an OpenType font. They include ligatures, fractions, or ornaments as well as registered trademark symbols such as ellipses, swashes, and swashes. The Glyphs panel allows you to see and insert these particular characters, as well as regular glyphs like em dashes and en dashes, registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph gives a character a boost in primary stats. It also has up to four secondary stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost which is multiplied by other bonuses, with the exception of Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them, and then clicking the "enchant" button. item upgrade will display a window with the Glyphs that are available to you. Note that only the right kind of Glyph can be applied to the selected item, as each weapon, jewelry or armor piece may have a different set of available Glyphs.
You can upgrade your Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more challenging the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience you'll earn. Once a Glyph is at level 15 it is upgradeable at the Glyph Upgrade Altar. Upgrades to a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
After a Glyph reaches the desired level, it is possible to activate it. Select it and click the "enchant button". The resulting Glyph will give its stated benefit, and boost all other nodes in its range on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should be put where they can benefit your build the most. This is why you should prioritize Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Some glyphs, however, might offer dual benefits if certain conditions are fulfilled, so they're worth looking out for too.
Click the cycle widget to change the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views displays the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow the list of glyphs further by choosing an option under "Entire Font": for example, punctuation displays only punctuation glyphs, while Math Symbols reduces the choices to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a process in which you open a new account to give yourself more chances to play an item or character you are interested in. This can aid in your progress to higher levels or to obtain better loot, like the best weapon for your current character. Many players reroll until they get the characters they like, regardless of their power. This could be because they like the character's style or personality.
You must ensure that you make clean changes every time you reroll. You should check locally if the patch passes the pre-commit test and run a core dev check. The patch should be uploaded with a plain difference to a bug (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls can take a few days or weeks depending on how fortunate you are. During this time, it is recommended to avoid any optional enemy camps to avoid wasting time. Additionally it is recommended to not repeat any quests that can be completed later in the game. This will save you time and energy.
Another crucial aspect to remember when rerolling is to make sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are a variety of ways to enhance your character's appearance and power. Upgrades, rerolling characters or upgrading weapons are all options. It is also important to be aware of the limitations of the system.
Rerolling might not be necessary but it's a way to increase your chances of getting a certain character or weapon. It can be helpful in the case of trying to find the most effective character or if you're looking to test different builds and play styles.
Sets
A set is a group of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen, or the members of the class). Sets can be used for operations such as union, intersection and distinction.
When you upgrade an item, it becomes an entirely new version that is superior to the previous one. This means that the weapon and armor will have a higher defense value and lower requirement for strength.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets to the same level as those in higher-level sets. Upgrades such as Guillaume's Face Helm to the Elite Spired helmet could increase the defense from 217 to 321 and lower the strength and level requirements to a more achievable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in the set are suitable for upgrading. Some sets, like the FB Sorc spec Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzlers are Exceptional in their own rights and don't require any upgrades. On the other hand, some items that are BiS and have a lot of use (like Goldwrap) may benefit from being upgraded to improve their performance even more. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
